Dr. Petti collected several excellent essays about good activities performed. It was a close competition, but the winning essay went to10 year-old Center Elementary student, Amber Delahunty, who was awarded the grand prize, a free computer, on Oct. 26, 2010 at the Plum Senior High school Auditorium.
Here is her essay:
I did a good deed by helping my Fammy and Pappy. I went up to my Fammy and Pappy’s house for 10 days. My Fammy just got shoulder surgery so she could not move her arm and shoulder to lift things, or do basic things around the house. They needed help so I stayed with them to help do the cooking, cleaning, and laundry. I did this because they needed help and I love them. This helped Fammy keep her house clean while she recovered.
